ABOUT US

At Embrace Therapy Austin, we deeply enjoy working with folks who are interested in challenging social norms, connecting more deeply with themselves and others, and cultivating a more loving relationship with themselves. Our therapists work from a feminist and attachment perspective, which means that we believe that early childhood experiences and relationships as well as the culture around us inform our lives and worldview. We are so excited that you’re here!

Client focus

At Embrace Therapy Austin, the client-therapist relationship is a dynamic and collaborative one. You know what your life and your journey has been like, and you may feel like you’ve been traveling it alone. You know your struggles and strengths best. I am here to take the journey with you, to explore with you who you are meant to be. Clients who wish to work with me are interested in building a healthier relationship with their body, themselves, and their sexuality and pleasure in a warm and judgement-free space.

The only journey is the journey within.
— Rainer Maria Rilke

SEX THERAPY AND SEX-POSITIVITY

Do you want to become more in tune with your body and your desires? Are you looking to explore alternative forms of pleasure or kinks? My sex-positive outlook is non-judgmental and pleasure-affirming.

INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS

Internal Family Systems, sometimes called Parts Work, is a fundamental model utilized by therapists at Embrace Therapy. IFS helps clients better understand themselves, externalize harmful negative self-talk, and heal from emotional wounds.

BODY ACCEPTANCE AND DISORDERED EATING TREATMENT THROUGH HEALTH AT EVERY SIZE

If you’re exhausted with dieting, restricting, or want to create a more peaceful relationship with your body, then body-acceptance therapy may be for you.

COPING SKILLS AND STRESS REDUCTION

Through the use of DBT and Somatic Experiencing, find new ways of coping with stress and anxiety.

EMOTION-REGULATION AND EXPLORATION

Many of us judge our own emotions too harshly and question whether or not we deserve the space we take up. There may be others in your life that tell you that you feel too much or are “too over-emotional”. But your emotions are valid and deserve to be tended to.
